Avie Judes created Checkmate Consulting LLC, a program and project management consulting firm, to help guide product development teams from an idea to a successful launch.
Before starting the firm, Avie designed motor control devices for critical naval combatant applications, managed product engineering teams to develop a variety of commercial building control devices and systems, led a successful global US DOJ FCPA purchasing compliance effort across five continents, and managed large advanced energy storage (cells, batteries, and systems) programs for the US DOE as well as for several automotive OE’s. He was frequently described by his customers as the “go-to guy”. Avie also taught engineering courses at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee College of Engineering & Applied Sciences. Some of his favorite hobbies include: playing chess & soccer, fixing things, bicycling, opera, and learning Japanese.
